Legal Terms & Conditions
Effective date: June 11, 2026
These Terms & Conditions ("Terms") govern your access to and use of the Bond Local platform, mobile applications, and services (collectively, the "Platform"), operated by Bond Local ("we," "us," or "our"). By registering an account, purchasing items, or listing a business on the Platform, you explicitly agree to be bound by these Terms.
1. The Platform Framework & In-House Logistics
Bond Local operates a two-sided digital marketplace connecting independent local merchants with consumers.
- Customers: Users who browse, order, and purchase goods.
- Merchants/Businesses: Independent commercial entities who list, price, sell, and prepare goods for transport.
- Fulfillment: Bond Local provides the digital storefront and coordinates physical delivery through independent delivery partners registered on the Platform.
Please Note: Bond Local is not a retailer or manufacturer. We do not sell, own, or endorse any products listed on the storefronts by the independent Merchants.
2. Account Tiers & Absolute Responsibilities
General User Requirements
You must be at least 18 years of age to create an account. You are entirely responsible for all activity and transactions incurred under your account credentials.
Merchant Specific Obligations
- Legal Compliance: Merchants must possess all valid local commercial licenses (Rishayon Esek) and tax registrations required to operate in the State of Israel.
- Product Accuracy & Liability: Merchants are solely and exclusively liable for the quality, safety, packaging, regulatory compliance, and pricing of their items.
- Age-Restricted Goods: Merchants who list alcohol, tobacco, or other age-restricted goods are solely responsible for legal compliance, including accurate listing information and verifying the buyer's age where required by law. Bond Local is a marketplace intermediary and does not itself sell restricted goods.
3. Financial Transactions, Fees, and Statutory Cancellations
- Payment Processing: All payments are securely handled via our third-party payment infrastructure partners. We reserve the right to charge platform service and delivery fees, displayed prior to order confirmation.
- Statutory Cancellation Right: In accordance with the Israeli Consumer Protection Law, 5741-1981, Customers maintain the right to cancel a transaction for physical goods within 14 days of receiving the product or the disclosure document, whichever is later.
- Returns & Refunds: To qualify for a refund, goods must be returned unused and in their original packaging. The Customer is subject to a cancellation fee of 5% of the transaction price or 100 NIS (the lower of the two). The Customer is also responsible for the original delivery fee and any return shipping costs.
- Failed Deliveries: If a delivery fails because the Customer provided an incorrect address or did not respond to the delivery personnel within ten (10) minutes of arrival at the specified location, the transaction will be cancelled. The Customer will be refunded for the cost of the goods, but will be charged the full delivery fee plus the statutory cancellation fee (5% or 100 NIS, whichever is lower) to cover the logistical expenses.
Direct Pay, Commission, and Promotional Pricing
Bond Local uses a tiered platform commission on completed item totals. For each store order, the Merchant's net payout is the item total used for settlement minus the applicable platform commission. Delivery and heavy-cargo fees are collected separately and are not part of the Merchant's item payout.
Merchant store sales
When a Merchant runs a sale or discount on their own listing (a "store sale"), the discounted price shown to the Customer is the price used for the entire money flow. The Customer pays that sale price, platform commission is calculated on that sale price, and the Merchant receives the sale price minus commission. The Merchant bears the cost of their own promotion.
Platform promotions (coupons, codes, and admin promos)
When Bond Local offers a coupon, promo code, or other platform-funded discount that the Customer applies at checkout, the Customer pays the reduced total, but the Merchant's payout is not reduced by that discount. Commission and Merchant settlement are calculated on the item total before the platform promotion is applied (after any Merchant store sale, if one is active).
The platform promotion is funded from Bond Local's commission on the order. Bond Local absorbs the difference between what the Customer pays for items and what the Merchant is owed.
Example — platform coupon
- Merchant lists an item at ₪100 (no Merchant store sale).
- Bond Local promo code gives the Customer 10% off items.
- Customer pays ₪90 for the item (plus any delivery fees).
- Platform commission is calculated on ₪100.
- Merchant receives ₪100 minus platform commission, as if the item sold for the full list price.
- The ₪10 platform discount is taken from Bond Local's commission on that order.
- If the commission is less than the discount amount, Bond Local's platform wallet may record a negative balance for the shortfall; Bond Local remains responsible for paying the Merchant the full settlement amount.
If both a Merchant store sale and a platform promotion apply, the Merchant sale sets the item total used for settlement and commission; the platform promotion only reduces what the Customer pays and is still funded from Bond Local's commission (or platform wallet, if commission is insufficient).
Merchant billing and card on file
Business Merchants who sell on Bond Local must maintain a valid payment method on file and complete payout onboarding (including PayMe sub-merchant KYC where applicable) before receiving card payouts.
- Card on file: By saving a credit or debit card in the business dashboard, the Merchant authorizes Bond Local to charge platform commission fees, Cash on Delivery commission fees, and any other agreed platform charges to that card.
- When charges occur: Commission may be collected after completed sales, on Cash on Delivery orders as configured in the dashboard, and during bi-weekly settlement cycles (typically on the 5th and 20th of each month, UTC).
- Payouts: Customer card payments for a Merchant's items are routed to the Merchant's connected payout account after applicable platform fees, subject to payment-processor rules and successful onboarding.
- Failed charges: If a commission charge fails, Bond Local may suspend listing visibility, Cash on Delivery acceptance, or payouts until the balance is resolved.
- Updates: Merchants may update the card on file at any time from the business billing settings. Changes apply to future charges only.
4. Limitation of Liability
To the maximum extent permitted by applicable Israeli law:
- Merchant Products: Bond Local, its directors, and operators completely disclaim liability for any product defects, consumer injuries, or damages resulting directly from goods manufactured or sold by independent Merchants.
- Service Unavailability: The Platform is provided "as is." We disclaim all implied warranties regarding uninterrupted technical uptime.
- Liability Cap: For claims not related to direct bodily injury or gross negligence caused by Bond Local's personnel, our total aggregate liability shall not exceed the total platform service fees paid by you to Bond Local in the three (3) months immediately preceding the event giving rise to liability.
5. Indemnification
You agree to indemnify, defend, and hold harmless Bond Local and its operators from and against any third-party claims, damages, losses, or legal fees arising from your violation of these Terms, your misuse of the marketplace, or, in the case of Merchants, any defect, lack of compliance, or harm caused by your products.
6. Acceptable Use, Privacy, & Zero-Tolerance Violations
- Privacy: The collection and processing of your personal data are governed by our Privacy Policy, which is incorporated by reference into these Terms.
- Prohibitions: Users are strictly prohibited from attempting off-platform transactions to bypass fees, harvesting/scraping user data, or listing/purchasing illicit goods (weapons, contraband, counterfeit inventory). Immediate account termination will occur for violators.
7. Governing Law & Local Dispute Resolution
These Terms shall be governed exclusively by the laws of the State of Israel. Any dispute, claim, or controversy arising out of or relating to these Terms or your use of the Platform shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the Courts of Jerusalem, Israel.
